Up for sale is my friends 1976 Corvette Coupe. I am listing this for him, due to him not having an ebay account. With that being said, I can stand behind the car, for I have had direct contact since the last owner, who bought it in 2006. Any Questions, I do believe I can answer all or most. My personnal number is 636-432-2234. If you have any questions concerning this car. Just a quick note before I go into detail about this beautiful Corvette. Yesterday, while attempting to aquire pictures, my camera wasn't acting good. Since I drive a truck, when I return to St louis, I can get more pictures if you have any doubts or concerns. And as far as shipping goes, not to sure about arranging shippment, but I do have a friend that would deliver it to you depending on your location. At the end of this sale, if there is a winning bidder, and you would like to speak to him, call me and I will give his number to you. Or any time during the auction.
Now about this beautiful Corvette Coupe.
It is a 4 owner, all original Corvette Coupe. The color is same from factory, but about 2 years ago, was repainted by an ex corvette factory worker. It is an L-82 with Automatic transmission. Comes with window sticker and all paper work. The 3rd owner bought it in 2006, while under semi restoration, and finished it. Mechanicly the car is as solid as can be, The down side is, I believe, the carburetor needs rebuilt and the timing is a little off. The reason I say this, is because it will start and run very well. Lots of horse power. But when you turn the car off, it back fires once. I think what happened, is when the 2nd owner took off the stock exhaust, and replaced it with headers and 3" pipe, the choke was left off. Last year, a new oem gas cap was bought to replace the after market locking cap. It helped alot, but still off just a tick. Yes the carburetor is the original from factory.
Now the outside is flawless. I personnally took it and for the last 2 years, showed it at the Columbia Missouri Corvette Show. The inside on a scale of 1 to 10, is a 9. From the pictures I was able to get, you can see it is truely all original. The only thing I would do, is replace the carpet. Small price to pay for almost survivor Corvette. I am not sure if radio works, but it is the one from the factory. When I get to drive this Corvette, I really enjoy the rumbble sound. SWEET!!!!!!! Tires have about 85% tread, and has a recent 4 wheel alignment. Side yoke and drive shave u- joints where replaced about 2 years ago. And as far as I know, the car has never been in an accident. I have been under this car a couple of times, so I know the frame is perfect, and I have not seen any body work done.
The car sits in a show room in Columbis Missouri, in a body shop. NO! It's not broke or in need of any work. It was placed there, in hopes to be seen. My friend who owns this car, also owns 3 other Corvettes, and has no way of exposing it to the public other then our friend who has this show room in his shop. This is where the picture were taken. And as soon as I return from Florida, I will add pictures of the speedometer and any other pictures that may be requested.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction, and remember any questions, please call.
