| Corvette 1968 convertible resto mod. I HAVE $36000 in just parts and bodywork not including the purchase of the car, you cant build the same car for what im selling it for. I bought this car from an old lady in Garden Groove CA in 2011, she blew a radiator hose on the freeway and parked the car in the early -80s. It was a 327 4 speed car. My plan was to build a pro touring, resto mod car. I bought the LS3 in 2011 it was only 3 years old and had only 8k miles. The guy I got it from worked for Synergy Motorsports he built the motor with a custom cam 223/227 610/613 made 470hp and 460tq on the tire with a 6 speed in his Toyota. It was tuned on the dyno. I bough the engine out of his running car. It came with ecm and a stand alone wire harness, Coated headers $700 , dirty dingo motor mounts. Transmission is a Brand new Ultimate fit TKO 600 Vette Deluxe kit 5 speed from Hurst drivelines with the corvette side shifter to place the shifter in the stock position complete with drive shaft. I have more then 10k in the drive line. I took the car to JD Corvette in Bellflower and did a full body restoration all the gaps are perfect. Body is in primer ready to be blocked. I spent 11k on the body work I have receipts for everything. I bought chassie parts from Vansteel for 11k, Front suspension Vansteel Light weight Tubular A-Arms upper and lowers QA1 Coilover kit $2500, Big sway bar front, Borgeson quick ratio steering box $780 , Wilwood 6 piston calipers. Rear suspension complete rear coil over conversion kit QA1 coil overs; $2600, trailing arms with more offset to fit a 10 rim, Wilwood 4 piston calipes, and sway bar. Beefed up rear axle with 30 splined spider gears, 3.55 posi, new half shafts, everything Is brand new $3000, I took the body off the frame, sand blasted the frame and powder coat, zero rust issues on the frame, all the body mounts are replaced and the body is shimmed. Everything on the chassie is brand new, only things I reused was the wheel bearing hubs and caliper brackets front everything else is new. New gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, brake hoses. New Dewitt Corvette LS aluminum radiator with fans 970usd. Clean Ca title in my name. I have more then 36k just in parts, have receipts for everything. Left to do is prep for paint replace interior maybe add a ac system and new rims and tires. Car has the soft top operates good, interior is original and needs to be replaced. Perfect start for the Corvette C3 Resto Mod, all the hard work is done and you cant buy the parts for what im selling the car for. I lost interest and have other cars I wanna finish. I have receipts for all parts. Car is in Pismo Beach CA area. Clean Ca Title in my name. BiN $30,000 but reached $23,100 (RnM) on January 19, 2017. BiN $25,000 but reached $18,750 (RnM) on February 13, 2017. |
