Custom retro 1971 CORVETTE COUPE with no expense spared. Every nut and bolt on this car is new or reconditioned. HISTORY: This car was originally a 330 HP LT-1 coupe with a 4 speed Muncie and a 3:36 posi-trac, Ontario Orange with a black interior. COMPLETE FRAME OFF RESTORATION: The car was completely disassembled. Frame has been blasted and powder coated black. The frame was reassembled with new narrowed trailing arms and all new bearings, shocks, brake and fuel lines, fuel tank, etc. Everything on this vehicle is new or reconditioned, no expense was spared. The narrowed trailing arms allow an additional 2 inches of backspacing on the rear wheels. ENGINE: 1971 LS-6 4 -Bolt Block with cast iron CE Heads and LS-6 manifold. This car as featured has a 1971 LS-6 motor which has been stroked to 489 cubic inches (4.280 bore and a 6.385 long rod). The motor was vatted and magna-fluxed. A new steel forged crank, Eagle rods and Wiseco forged pop-up pistons and complete bearing kit were utilized in the buildup. Block was bored 30 over, line bored, and decked with new cam bearings and freeze plugs. Heads were vatted and magnafluxed and were fitted with hardened valve seats. New stainless valves with 2.25 intake and 1.88 exhaust, new valve guides, springs, seals, retainers, etc. and a 3 angle valve job. The car comes with two intake hoods and two intake manifolds – the LS-6 low rise (with a low rise hood) and an L-88 high rise manifold (with a L88 high rise hood). Both hoods are painted matching greystone silver. The engine in the frame only picture is outfitted with the LS-6 intake but was later switched to the L-88 intake and topped off with a Holley 850 double-pumper. The car as featured has an LS-6 style air cleaner but also comes with a functional L-88 air cleaner system together with an L-88 ram air plate for the hood. Dyno sheets are available. Engine is painted Chevrolet orange and the heads, both manifolds and the engine pulley and accessory brackets have been powder coated silver metallic. The car has been dyno tuned at 465 horsepower at the flywheel and 387 rear wheel horsepower with 431 ft. lbs. of torque. Compression ratio is 12:6 to 1 and requires high octane leaded fuel. TRANSMISSION & DIFFERENTIAL: 4 Speed Muncie M-22 has been completely disassembled and rebuilt. New Hurst short-throw competition shifter and linkage. 4: 56 posi-trac differential has been completely disassembled and rebuilt with new bearings and clutches. Car comes with the original 3:36 posi-trac differential which was fully functional when I bought the car but it has not been rebuilt. PAINT & BODY: Body was placed on rolling dunnage and completely reconditioned. Body was stripped; stress cracks were removed and filled. All metal surfaces were sanded, primered and painted flat black. Prior to painting body was installed on frame with drive train installed (see pictures). Car was painted grey stone metallic silver using DuPont base coat clear coat. OPTIONS & FEATURES: Foose Wheels/ Toyo Tires– Rear 18X10 w/ 285/60 ZR18 and Front 18X 9 w/ 275/60 ZR18, Vette Brakes - Rear Mono spring system with adjustable ride height and spring load control. Air conditioning – new after market air system with polished compressor and rebuilt console stock controls. Tilt and telescopic steering column – completely disassembled and rebuilt. Power assisted Rack & pinion steering. Power Windows. New Kenwood retro CD and AM/FM with removable face. Seats and frames are custom adapted from a 1993 vette. All seat components were reconditioned or new – covers, seat foam, etc. are new. Instrumentation – All gauges are new or have been reconditioned. All new interior - dash pads, door panels, carpet, pillar posts, sun visors, console, door sills, etc. All new lighting components – side markers, brake and back up lenses, wiring, bulbs, etc. Bumpers were rechromed; all stainless trim was cleaned and polished. All new windshield and side glass. All new rubber moldings and weather stripping. New hazmat heat and sound barrier installed. OTHER OPTIONS: All aluminum steel braided hoses. March aluminum pulleys. Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. MSD – 6AL Distributor, Blaster coil and ignition control system. New Mechanical high volume fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel pump and fuel tank. New Electric vacuum pump, all new reservoir, vacuum lines, fittings and actuators. Aluminized headers with 2.5 inch aluminized exhaust and Borla mufflers. Chrome brake booster and master cylinder. Chrome power steering. Aluminum water pump. All wiring harnesses are new – dash, lights, under hood. New wiper motors, vacuum reservoir, washer reservoir, wiper hoses.
