Added to Registry 10/19/2012 Nice find. This St. Louis Cardinal red Corvette is a two-owner car last sold 2/11/1976. The condition is spectacular, numbers match, Air, Auto, PS, 350, 71,880 miles, everything works and no leaks. The paint is flawless, the interior is wonderful, and the tires are like new. The car has been stored in a garage and has not seen rain or snow since 1976. The car is available for immediate sale; don't let this one get away.
Exterior: This Stingray has show stopping deep red paint job (2010). The grills were hand painted. No stress cracking. The T-Tops are the last aftermarket set of gold- mirrored tops made! Plus, it has the original T-Tops painted to match the car. Good chrome bumpers, and has an extra front bumper. The windshield has been replaced. The exhaust has two sets of bezels, original chrome and stainless. It has rally rims. All of the lights work. The windshield wipers work, as does the vacuum system.
Interior: The inside is in excellent condition (2010). The interior has been redone starting with the replaced door panels (GM) and included is an extra set of walnut panels. The radio is aftermarket and the original is included (repairable). The sill plates were replaced. The seats and carpet have been re-upholstered (leather seats). In addition, the seat belts were replaced. The Fiber Optics work well. The air- conditioning blows cold air (R-13) and the heater functions perfectly.
Mechanically This 41-year-old car is sound. No accidents, full maintenance history and everything works! Numerous parts have been replaced or overhauled over the years. The car has been gone through extensively this summer. Lets take a look at the details.
Starting with the best option, the air conditioning has been upgraded to R-13. Next, the power steering recirculating ball unit, cylinder and lines have all been replaced this summer. Next, all of the engine seals were replaced this October. The cooling system has just been serviced. Further more maintenance includes; a one-piece Fell Pro oil pan seal, rear main seal, intake seal, timing cover seal and new water pump (done by the local Chevrolet Dealer/Corvette Specialist). The valve covers were replaced with new replacements. The master cylinder and mufflers were replaced a few years ago. The transmission had one band replaced numerous years ago. The front brake pads and right front brake line were just replaced. Stainless brake lines. Along with left front ball joint (American Part) and upper control arm bushings (rubber) were just replaced. Furthermore, the front sway bar links were just replaced. The car has a clean bill of health.
Conclusion All in all, this is a quality Corvette Stingray. It drives superb. The transmission is in top condition. The engine starts easily, idles, and performs like new. All crucial numbers match and again this is a two-owner car. The paint is excellent. New interior. Here is the big one; the car is mechanically sound with every issue addressed this summer.
