| 1968, 427, 4spd t-top in safari yellow. The car is an original (we do have the top half of the original build sheet) 427/390HP BB car with the following options: PS, PB, AC, telscoping wheel, shoulder belts and a non-functioning alarm. The paint is safari yellow with a standard black interior. The paint looks good, shines nicely but does have scatches and chips as it is showing its age. It has 77,000 miles and doesn't appear to have been in any accidents. The bodylines are straight with the only damage showing is the lower front valance where it is cracked and attempted to be repaired. My guess is curb damage. The 427 motor is stamped with a CE8 code that we understand to be a factory Chev warranty engine for 1968. It runs very strong and is clean but not detailed. It has been tested and will bark in all 4!! The 4 speed trans shifts very smooth up and down. The chrome on top is very good, the rears are starting to pit and rust on the bottoms, the front is okay and the bumper guards are also pitted but all are presentable for a very nice driver. This corvette will hold its own in cruise-ins, saturday nights and local shows. It is a very clean and sharp driver. There are thousands of dollars of new parts recently installed: 4 disc brake calipers, brake lines, starter, rotors, PB booster, plug wires, exhaust pipes, windshield, tach gear drive, chrome distributor cover and others. The undercarriage was just cleaned detailed and painted as in the pics. The interior is in very good condition, no rips or tears, all the gauges work except the clock. The vacuum system for headlights and the wiper cover work, the over-rides work also. The wipers do not work at this time but have installed a new motor and switch. This is a solid car, body and frame, with very few rattles when driving on (PA) roads. (ever been here?) It handles very tight and has very responsive steering. We just aquired this car from and older gentleman in his 70's who had it in his collection and stored in his garage for about 15 years. It is a very nice presentable sharp corvette turn key driver or easily restord. Colors from the owner. 77,000 miles. June 4, 2008. | |||||
