This 1970 Chevrolet Corvette is an all-around attractive car. The numbers matching V8 has been enhanced for extra power, and you get full control over it with the four-speed. Everything from the side pipes to the attractive factory color combo add allure to this value-priced package.
Cortez Silver is one of the brightest and most distinct metallic colors offered on the Stingray, and it was only available for two years. So it's always extra attractive to find one still wearing its factory- correct color. This has a good gloss in the sunshine that loves to show off some of your favorite features, like the long hood with well-hidden headlights, shapely flared fenders, and the race-inspired Kamm back rear. There is room for improvement on this coupe. But it's an impressive level of packaging where this is a powerful Corvette you get to enjoy today, and the price leaves room in your budget to let you chose your personal touches whenever you see fit.
Black is always a good color to go with silver, and so we know you'll love taking the T-tops out to show off the interior. It's the factory-correct full color combo. It has been enjoyed over the years, but it still gives the quality feel of a supple leather high-back bucket seat. It's a true driver's car. That's why you have a grippy sport steering wheel, four-on-the-floor, a large speedo and tach directly in front of you, and full auxiliary gauge panel at eye-level. There is an AM/FM radio, but you really know those side pipes are going to be your favorite soundtrack. Plus, this is from the years of the removable rear window, and so you really get to have the breeze flowing through on those days you hit the open road.
The engine is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It gives off a stock first impression with plenty of Chevy orange on the block and valve covers. But when you take a closer look you'll see this V8 is enhanced for added power with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. And those long tube headers add power before contributing to the thunder of the side pipes. You take firm control over it all with the numbers-matching Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. The fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes add to this total package that keep you well in-tune with the road. |
