| 01/27/2014 We are proud to offer this stunning 1972 Corvette. We purchased the vehicle from a local private owner. He performed the extensive body off restoration that started in 2008 and was finished in 2012. It has very few miles since. He spent an estimated $70,000 on the fully documented restoration! This is not your average, restored Corvette. The car was completely disassembled down to the frame. The frame and all suspension components have been powder coated, not painted. Even the fuel tank has been powder coated! The body was painted back to its original Elkhart Green. The paintwork is excellent in every way. The panel fit is near perfect. The all exterior trim and bumpers are either new, restored or excellent original components. The undercarriage is immaculately clean and detailed. The interior was also restored back to factory specifications. It has new black leather seat upholstery with new foam. The dash pad, door panels, carpets and visors were also replaced. Every piece of weatherstripping is new throughout the car. It has a tastefully installed AM/FM stereo system. The car is in excellent running and driving condition. It was not built just to look good but to drive as well. The period 350 engine and TH400 transmission were completely rebuilt top to bottom. The engine has roller rockers and lifters. The aluminum intake is polished with a new carburetor. The rebuilt automatic transmission has a mild shift kit. It has new 2 1/4 inch chambered dual exhaust. A heavy duty aluminum radiator installed with dual electric fans. The car's electrical and vacuum systems are all new. The wiper flap and headlight doors are fully functional. In addition, the entire disc brake system has been rebuilt or replaced. It features the complete Steeroids rack and pinion steering conversion. It has the complete Sharkbite Stage II suspension kit with QA1 billet adjustable coil overs on all four corners. The car now has superior handling! The car has an impeccable stock appearance but also has modern handling and performance. Finding another Corvette built this caliber will be difficult. It presents an excellent opportunity to own a superior Corvette at a fraction of its restoration cost. |
