| Car history: |
This is a 1968 Stingray with 35k Original miles, it has had a Big Block 454 dropped into it from a 1971 Corvette. The Block # is 3963512, the Factory # is CE956504. This car was modified back in 1977 into what was going to be strictly a Hot Rod show car. The Original Modifications were designed for a Non-running Hot Rod, which ended up winning a number of awards. It was trailered from show to show. The car was then sold and Converted into a driving car. There are to many modifications to mention, we do however have a video, detailing the tunning and upgrades that allowed it to be driven on the street. We have the records, receipts and numerous parts along with books to go with the car as well as a Chrome kit for show purposes. It has never been outside, never been in the rain and has always been garaged. We have the History of Ownership and the details of modifications. Other things of note; Mickey Thompson Valve covers/Tires, Paint is Lacquer by Ditzler, New Clutch, Stainless Emergency Brake Parts, Tire Size-Front 235/60/15, Rear 295/50/15, New Guages, New Fuel Pump, Multiple Service Manuals and Used Parts. This is a car you have to see and hear to appreciate. The paint is in Good shape, there are chips in front of the rear tires as well as a spot on the hood and deck lid that could use attention. It runs like a monster, it is not however tuned to run at temperatures below 55 degress. The door handles were removed on the exterior and interior for show purposes. Magnetic contacts pads were installed on top of the rear wheel wells in order to access the car. There are Dual electric buttons on the center console to release the doors from the inside. Additional guages have also been incorporated in the center console to accomodate the massive engine. We have photos of the car prior to the build and some of the show product. There is also the history of ownership provided by the past owner dating back to the original purchase. The T top is removable as is the rear glass, converting almost into a convertible with the exception of the center support for the top. The winshield wipers are not operational because the hood modification goes completely to the windshield. They are installed and are operated by two toggle switches on the dash but restricted due to the hood. The front windshield is Original but has a crack across the right corner.
